Spicy Pickled Vegetables

Spicy Pickled Vegetables

Ingredients:
1 round cabbage
3 red chillies
8 cloves garlic

Seasoning:
½ cup salt
½ cup sugar
½ cup vinegar
2 tbsps hot chilli paste
2 tbsps cooking oil

Method:
•    Peel of cabbage leaves one by one and tear into small pieces with finegar. Rinse, drain and marinade with salt for 30 minutes. Squeeze out the salt. Chop garlic and chillies.
•    Heat 2 tbsps oil in a wok sauté chopped garlic and chillies until fragrant. Add in chilli paste and stir until chilli oil appears. Turn off heat.
•    Add in cabbage, sugar and vinegar. Mix well with the friend mixture. Let cool, put in a container and chill in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Dish up and serve.
