Ingredients:
- 2 medium Chinese celery cabbage
- 1 carrot
- 1 apple
- 3 stalks spring onions
- 40 g gonger
- 7 cloves garlic
- 9 tbsps salt
Seasoning:
- 5 tbsps chilli powder
- 5 tbsps sugar
Method:
• Cut of stem of cabbage, cut in half and each leaf. Rub each evenly with salt. Let stand for about 5 hours or until the cabbage begins to soften. Rinse and drain well.
• Peel and rinse carrot and shred finely. Peel, core apple and cut into small cubes. Chop spring onions, mince garlic and ginger. Mix all these ingredients with seasoning and sufficient water to form a thick paste.
• Mix well cabbage leaves with the mixture and place in an air- tight container. Let stand at room temperature for 1 day and keep in the refrigerator.
